XYZ CARGO ADD-ONS

XYZ CARGO ADD-ONs are functional modules that can be added on top of a cargo bike. They enable the user to transform a normal cargo bike into a special vehicle that can function as for example: A Food Bike, Sound Bike, Mobile Lab, Medical Bike, Power Plant Module etc.
The modular design makes it fast and easy to completely change the functional layout of a cargo bike. The bike can be used to simply move people or things around and the next moment it can serve as a mobile kitchen. Local communities might have a need for a mobile health clinic one day and a mobile public bakery the next day.
With this new addition to XYZ CARGO, we want to contribute to an even more diverse and vivid cultural and practical use of public space and to facilitate the creation of small businesses. We hope that XYZ CARGO ADD-ONS could become a useful tool for reclaiming public space in a peaceful and friendly way.
XYZ CARGO ADD-ONS are Open Source: Unlike the 'XYZ CARGO Cycles' (released under the non-commercial Creative Commons license CC BY-NC-SA 3.0), the XYZ CARGO ADD-ONS will be developed together with the Open Source community under CC BY-SA 4.0. This allows for commercial reproduction and enables new businesses to start up based on the development, local production and sales of XYZ CARGO ADD-ONS. In this way, we want to expand and spread the use of cargo bikes through an open design process, making the resulting designs free for anyone to use.
